Basic explanation of my job

So my basic job is that I work for this company called Schick. Not the razor brand. They manufacture these dental x-ray scanners. Now, instead of having that huge thing scan your entire head while you're positioning your head in an awkward position, you can just put a thing in your mouth and it takes an x-ray.
I'm mostly testing these things and making sure they work. I use more mental power playing 2-3 games of Starcraft than I do the entire day at work. It's a temp position for now, they'll re-evaluate me at the end of this month. Most likely they'll keep me. Just because it's me and I show that I can do this job with ease.
The pay isn't too good, the way you make money is they're really liberal with their overtime. They have other benefits too, such as health care, they have a gym, and... EDUCATIONAL REIMBURSEMENT. If I get full time, I'll most likely go back to school. Esp since that the company pays for half my parking spot here and it's across the street from a community college.

Posting during work breaks.

I figured out a good time for me to post. Now that my netbook is pretty well set up, I can make blog posts during my breaks.
My company's break set up is pretty cool too.
1st break: 11:00 - 11:20
Lunch: 1:30 - 2:00
2nd break: 3:20 - 3:40
That's a total of an hour and 10 minutes of break!
So I have a decent amount of time to moderate comments and post. Blog on!

Delays of blogging

So it's been a while, I know. As of my last post there have been two things that has kept me from being able to post as much as I'd like to.
1) I have acquired a full time job, manufacturing these x-ray scanners. More on that hopefully. 
2) We had a few raiders quit and my comp broke for a while, and I usually blog while raiding.
3) My girlfriend's school started, so she's been sleeping over my house more.
Here's something that probably no one knows... This blog is actually a secret from everyone I know. It's a place where I can come and talk about stuff and get people's input without my friends finding out. A sanctuary so to say.
On the upside, I got a netbook, so once I get more comfortable with it, I can start blogging at work during my breaks. So hopefully more content soon! How are you all doing?!

Earthquake?

So... I guess there was an earthquake in New York, but I didn't feel anything. I was returning from a job interview. More on that in a later post :P
In other news, no raid today :(

Fireman Update: Filed for Test

So I filed for the Fireman test the other day. Online filing was $25, test being a long time from now. Now my question is... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO STUDY?! I tried to Google it, and they said that there are many fireman tests, and I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to be studying for. Oh well, maybe I'll just study for all of them, since I have a lot of time on my hands.

Hey, did you guys notice at the bottom, the fish gadget? I saw it on someone else's blogger and I was so distracted by it. It's pretty awesome! I like watching the fish arc to get to the food. What do you guys think?

New Background

Hey! I finally got an official background. This was taken from someone's WordPress, and it looks like original art. The artist hasn't updated their WordPress in a long time, so I just kinda took it, saying I'll credit said artist in my next blog post. Fire Fighter?

I went to the Hong Kong Dragon Boat festival yesterday. Pretty interesting event. There was a booth there for the Fire Department of New York, and I went up and talked to them. I always wanted to be a fire fighter when I was younger. They said that there's actually no height requirement (I'm 5'1) and that they recruit once every 4 years so nows my chance. I think I'm gonna try it out. What do you guys thing?

Haircutting

So today I got a haircut at my local Chinese Hair Salon. She was cutting my hair, and she was all like "Your hair's so soft, you must be an obedient child." I guess it's one of those Chinese sayings or something. Anyone else heard of this?

Downtime?

I tired to post earlier, and blogger was apparently down. I didn't know blogger had downtime lol.

Our mage creates a branch!

Our mage has created the first part to his Legendary Staff! For those that haven't seen someone do it, they get a 2 hour debuff after he gets the item which makes flowers come from under his feet.

Raiding at Guildie's house.

Is that a word? Guildie's? Anyways, I'm here playing World of Warcraft raiding Firelands at our hunter's house. Hopefully his good DPS aura will rub off on me lol. I used to be top DPS in the group I raided with, group 2, but since my acceptance in group 1 I've been last in DPS while said hunter has been number 1.
Raiding at a friend's house also eliminates all the distractions that the home environment can bring. The feeling of a lan party is nice too. Any one else do this?

FOOTBALL IS BACK

I was driving today, and when I turned on the radio I finally heard NFL football on the radio! I was going to post this yesterday, about Randy Moss possibly going to the New York Jets, but since then he's "announced" his retirement. Sounds like a Brett Farve move to me.
But even if the Jets got Moss, think Moss will do well? We all know the emotional person Moss can be, think he'll be willing to perform for the team that is the biggest rival of his former team, which he is still loyal to?
Anyways, Banner will come soon, but for now, FOOTBALL!

Steaming Buns/Banner Update

So here I am, hungry. I'm a pretty poor cook, so I have a lot of frozen buns in the freezer and steaming them up is easy. No chance of burning, or overcooking, as long as you don't boil all your water away. Even then you don't have a chance of fire. Plus you get to set them up and walk away while you continue your xbox or World of Warcraft game.

So I'm steaming my buns, and I come back from them, and I HATE how the bottom of them get soggy. I've tried to put paper towels underneath them, but that doesn't really help either. Any one have any ideas how to avoid this?

Also, I'll be putting up a banner soon. Probably of something I took a picture of myself. Thanks for the comments! Always appreciated!

Banner ideas

Ok, so through comments I figured out how to upload pictures. I'm having trouble now with banner ideas, since my blog is mostly random. I was thinking of putting something World of Warcraft related, since it's what I blog the most about, but I don't feel like that represents me as a person.

Warped Tour 2011

Went to warped tour today, got vendor passes so I didn't have to wait on lines and got to go to the AC dining section where the bands ate. I haven't been this tired since... since I pulled all nighters studying for college finals

Journal

My girlfriend and I were recently walking through B&N and saw a few journals. She then had an idea that we should write in one journal that we both share, and give it to each other each time we see each other. She said she got the idea from a manga. We see each other about 5 times a week. I told her that it probably wouldn't work because we see each other so often, and the journal will just be like "hey, saw you today again, we hung out." So, what do you guys think?

Tonight's Raid

We were missing a healer, and thus did not attempt any Firelands boss. Doing heroic BWD right now, trying out some new members and seeing how they're doing. Makes me wonder how hard we will have to raid on Monday... /sigh

Firelands Heroic Ancient Fire Golem Disappointment

So my guild's doing heroic boss of some sort in firelands and my DPS sucks. I'm supposed to be an AoE spec, but demo i'm not too familiar with so I'm going affliction because I'm more comfortable with it. I feel like I have more control of my character. I feel like there's a lot of pressure on me, and that I have to live up to these expectations.
Yes, that's right, I have to and I reasonable should.
